Kybella

Kybella is an injectable used to target the fat beneath the chin(double chin) or other areas on the body where you may have a small pocket of unwanted fat. The process uses a series of deoxycholic acid injections to target the fat cells in the desired area. Since Kybella destroys fat cells and cell can no longer store or accumulate fat, further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

What to expect:

  • Time to allow: 60 minutes

  • During: Topical ice can be applied to the treatment area to help with any discomfort prior to starting. Mild burning, redness and swelling while receiving the micro injections are common.

  • After: You can expect to have some bruising and swelling following your treatment that can last 2 weeks, if not longer. In some cases, numbness and hardening of the skin in the area is common and will also resolve within a few weeks.

  • Follow up: The number of treatments vary and will be discussed prior. Each treatment should be spaced at least 1 month apart.
